Your Wedding Ceremony

Your wedding ceremony should express the depth and beauty of your love.

Weddings are full of romance and emotionYoung couple after signing their marriage docuements

Megan and Andrew after signing their marriage documents. Kathryn, thank you again for a beautiful day =) Megan

and we truly enjoy seeing two people who are in love, declare

their life-long commitment

to  each other.  It is your choice whether you want to share your day with a few close friends and family,  or you have all of your extended family and many friends, it is your day and you should be celebrating it  in the style that suits you both.

Your marriage ceremony is the occasion for you to express to family and friends how you truly feel about each.  The words used in the ceremony are very important because they can reverberate throughout your married life, and wouldn’t it be wonderful to say them all over again in 10, 20, 30 or more years later.

Finding words which feel right may seem like a tremendous undertaking.  You can look on my website for some ideas on how to write your marriage vows. I am always available to help and support you, as your celebrant.

I  like to meet with you for about one to one and a half hours, in order for me to obtain  information on your history together as a couple, because this helps me to personalise and individualise other parts of your ceremony.

Your ceremony should be in keeping with your style as people, do you like  romantic, traditional, the beach, the country?  I look forward to working with you, and to make sure the ceremony is perfect for you.  Some words to express the ceremony are:  relaxed, intimate, personal, fun, memorable, simple, elegant, individual and neither too-long nor too-short.

  • I have been trained to create and understand the structure of a ceremony.
  • You have control over the creation of your wedding ceremony.
  • If you would prefer that I create the ceremony that is fine, and I am happy to do that, but I would always send it for your approval.
  • I sincerely care about you as individuals and have the intention to help you create a ceremony that you will remember with pride and joy.
  • Through my training I have developed an understanding of the process of a ceremony, as well as the legal requirements.
